- Characteristics: The Ficus Robusta is a popular houseplant with glossy, dark green leaves which give it a very ornamental and classy look. The plant is more commonly known as the Rubber Plant and will grow to an ultimate height of 2.5-4m and an ultimate spread of 1-1.5m. The Robusta is another member of the Ficus genus which provides air-purifying qualities to the surroundings it is placed in. This will allow it to cleanse and refresh the air of any harmful pollutants.
